Southern Germany, late 18th century, softwood construction. Veneered in walnut and walnut burl, with field-forming ribbon and thread inlays in various fruitwoods. Substructure over square legs tapering downwards, above a quarter-cylinder secretary flap, fittings with bow, original iron box locks preserved, key present.
